PetroChina International, a subsidiary of the Chinese NOC, has signed a new five-year sales-and-purchase agreement (SPA) with Kazakhstan’s Kaztransgas, parent company China National Petroleum Corp. said on Tuesday.

The previous deal expired on 14 October, and Kaztransgas has been supplying the equivalent of more than 5 billion cubic metres per year of gas since 15 October. The two companies started negotiations for the new deal at the end of July.
