Japanese investors eye roles in Novatek LNG transshipment complex

The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) is holding talks with fellow Japanese players Marubeni and Mitsui about participating in the construction of Novatek’s LNG transshipment complex in Kamchatka, the governor of JBIC, Tadashi Maeda, said in a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev.

Maeda confirmed JBIC closed a cooperation agreement with the two companies in September.
