Russian gas shipped via the Turkish Stream pipeline could definitely come to Italy, with several options available for it to do so, Marco Alvera, chief executive of Italy’s Snam, said during the 11th Eurasian Economic Forum this week.

“Russian gas from [Turkish Stream could] definitely come to Italy,” Alvera said, noting Austria’s Baumgarten hub was one potential delivery option. Snam is an investor in the Austrian gas transport system, Alvera added.
