Australian energy infrastructure operator Jemena will hold a A$15.0 million ($10.7 million) trial run of a process to produce hydrogen from solar and wind power that would be stored for use by the company’s gas network in New South Wales, Jemena said on Sunday.
The ‘green gas’ trial will be the biggest in Australia to date, and could lead to homes and businesses in Sydney using hydrogen within five years.
