South Korea’s Kogas will import 700,000 tpa of LNG from the Shell-led LNG Canada project in British Columbia for 40 years starting around 2024, Reuters quoted Kogas Vice President Lim Jong-kook as saying in Seoul on Friday.

Kogas holds a 5% share in LNG Canada and said last week that it would invest KRW 749.86 billion ($660.06 million) in the project. Kogas’s supply deal has destination flexibility and permits the company to sell on excess volumes, according to Lim.
