Expanding the capacity of the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) to 31 billion cubic metres per year would require five additional compressor stations, Swedish-Swiss contractor ABB has told Azerbaijani news agency Trend.

TANAP currently has a capacity of 16 bcm/y and already involves five compressor stations. An additional three compressor stations would be required to expand the pipeline to 24 bcm/y.
