Tokyo Gas Group is not considering buying more LNG from suppliers in the United States as it wants to diversify its procurement portfolio, Reuters reported the Japanese company’s president, Takashi Uchida, as saying on Thursday.

Tokyo Gas started receiving long-term US volumes from Dominion Energy’s Cove Point plant in Maryland earlier this year. It also has signed agreements to buy LNG from the Cameron project in Louisiana.
