Anglo-Dutch major Shell has announced it has taken an FID on the Arran gas and condensate field in the UK North Sea. The company will also be the operator of the field.
Arran is expected to produce about 2.83 million cubic metres per day of gas and 4,000 barrels per day of condensate.
Shell said four new development wells will be drilled and that the gas and liquids produced will be transported via a newly installed subsea pipeline to the Shearwater platform.
