Japan’s Toho Gas is the first company to announce it has signed a basic agreement to purchase volumes from the LNG Canada project, according to Indian newspaper The Economic Times.

Toho signed the agreement with a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi to buy up to four LNG cargoes per year, equivalent to about 300,000 tpa, from the project, Toho said on Wednesday.
