German regulator clears Novatek and Fluxys to form LNG JV

Germany’s anti-trust regulator has cleared Novatek and Fluxys to form a joint LNG logistics venture at the port of Rostock

Germany’s anti-trust regulator, the Bundeskartellamt, has said it has given clearance for Russia’s Novatek and Belgian gas transport company Fluxys to form a joint LNG logistics venture at the German port of Rostock.

The two companies requested authorisation in September. Novatek signed a memorandum of understanding with Fluxys in June 2017, confirming the companies’ intentions to develop strategic cooperation in small-scale LNG projects in Europe.
