Planned pipeline maintenance halts Ukraine’s Slovakian imports

Ukraine has stopped importing gas from Slovakia as a result of planned maintenance on the pipeline interconnector between the two countries, data from Ukrainian transmission system operator Ukrtransgaz shows.

The repairs started on Tuesday and are scheduled to be completed by Saturday. Ukraine stopped importing gas from Russia in November 2015 and since then has relied on imports from Europe.
