Gazprom plans to expand the capacity of the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas pipeline, which will export gas to China, by 8 billion cubic metres per year, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said in a presentation at the Russian Energy Week event in Moscow.

The main conditions for shipments of gas from Russia’s Far East to China were signed in December 2017, and Gazprom is aiming to sign a contract with China National Petroleum Corp. in 2018.
