Six European grid operators are calling on Brussels to set binding targets and national governments to offer tax breaks to foster large-scale investment in renewable gases and carbon-capture technologies. 

Grid operators from Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium presented an action plan last week on boosting the share of renewable gases in Europe’s energy mix by 2030 to the EU’s climate and energy commissioner, Miguel Arias Cañete.
