The United States Trade and Development Agency has awarded a grant to Morocco’s Ministry of Energy, Mines and Sustainable Development to study the feasibility of building an LNG terminal that would link to the Maghreb-Europe pipeline, the agency said on Wednesday.

Virginia-based LixCap will carry out the study, which involves assessing potential sites for a regasification facility to supply up to 5.3 billion cubic metres per year and a pipeline connecting the terminal to the Maghreb-Europe route.
