Qatar Petroleum plans to build four new LNG trains as part of a major expansion project, up from the previous plan for three, Chief Executive Saad al-Kaabi announced on Wednesday.

The expansion will increase Qatar’s LNG production to 110 mtpa by the end of 2023, more than the previously envisaged 100 mtpa and up by 43% from the current 77 mtpa.
