United States President Donald Trump has urged Germany to diversify its sources of energy supplies and follow the example of Poland to avoid becoming “vulnerable to extortion and intimidation” from Moscow.
Speaking at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, Trump attacked Germany by saying the completion of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline will leave the country “totally dependent” on Russian gas supplies.
