
Germany is set to boost its power sector gas consumption over the coming years as it phases out coal and nuclear, the country’s energy minister has confirmed to Interfax Natural Gas Daily.
“We will see a more important role for gas consumption over the foreseeable period of time,” Peter Altmaier, Germany’s energy minister, said on the sidelines of a press conference at the European Commission building in Brussels on Tuesday.
