Ophir Energy has completed its acquisition of various producing assets in Southeast Asia from Santos, according to Offshore magazine.
The company plans to develop the Meliwis gas field off the Indonesian island of Madura using an unmanned wellhead platform and will tie back the output to the Maleo production platform.
Ophir plans to take an FID on the project, which is estimated to cost $70 million, in the near future and will bring it online in 12 months’ time.
