The city of Jining in eastern China’s Shandong province is close to completing six LNG storage tanks with a combined capacity of 700 thousand cubic metres (Mcm), the Qilu Evening News reported on Monday.
Some 100,000 households in Jining will switch to gas for heating this winter, adding 84 million cubic metres (MMcm) of new gas demand over the season.
Jining plans to add another two 2 Mcm tanks in the project’s second phase.
