Japan’s Inpex is restructuring to prioritise LNG within its portfolio, according to the Nikkei Asian Review.
The company operates the Ichthys LNG project in Australia, which was brought online on 20 July.
The company relies on oil for around 70% of its revenue and wants to increase the share of LNG.
Inpex is also involved in the Abadi LNG project in Indonesia.
If the project goes ahead it could increase Inpex’s LNG capacity to around 13 mtpa.
