India’s Gail plans to construct 5,500 km of pipelines to boost the use and availability of gas in the country over the next three years, Chief Executive B.C. Tripathi said on Tuesday, according to Reuters.

Tripathi said Gail has booked 1.5 mtpa of capacity at the Dhamra LNG terminal in eastern Odisha to supply gas to northeastern India.

The company holds a gas market portfolio amounting to 14 mtpa.
