Polish state-owned PGNiG has renewed its contract for using Ukraine’s gas storage facilities, the company said in a note on Tuesday.

The agreement allows PGNiG to operate on Ukraine’s gas market directly.

PGNiG started selling gas to Ukraine in August 2016 and had exported more than 1.27 billion cubic metres as of 31 June.

PGNiG signed the first storage agreement with Ukraine’s state-owned Ukrtransgaz in October 2017.
