Pakistan’s third LNG terminal is expected to bring in $5 billion per year in revenue as a result of strong transport and power sector demand, The News International reported on Wednesday.

The terminal – a joint venture between Shell, Engro, Gunvor and Fatima Group – will have a regasification capacity of 7.75 billion cubic metres per year and is due to become operational by Q2 2020.

The terminal will sell LNG instead of providing regasification tolling services like Pakistan’s two existing terminals.
