Angola’s government has selected a consortium of South Korean companies to build a 750 MW gas-fired power plant in Benguela province, Portugal’s Lusa News Agency has reported.

The consortium includes engineering giant Hyundai. Angola produces large volumes of gas, but much of its output is flared or reinjected into wells as there is a limited domestic market for the fuel.
