The United States announced on Monday that it had reached a preliminary trade agreement with Mexico, which looks set to replace the longstanding North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
“It’s a big day for trade, [and a] big day for our country,” US President Donald Trump was quoted as saying.
There will be extensive cooperation in the energy sector between the two countries, according to local press. However, no details are available yet.
