Gas distributors in Brazil’s northeastern regions have launched a joint tender offer to purchase a total of 9.4 million cubic metres of gas per day for five years starting in January 2020, Argus has reported.

The seven companies – Algas, Bahiagas, Cegas, Pbgas, Copergas, Potigas and Sergas – have supply contracts with state-run Petrobras that will expire in December 2019.

Potential suppliers have until November to table proposals, with contracts to be signed in early 2019.
