Retail residential gas tariffs in southwestern China’s Chongqing municipality will rise by a flat RMB 0.26 per cubic metre ($1.08/MMBtu) from 15 August, the Chongqing pricing bureau said on Tuesday.

The move is in line with the central government’s harmonisation of residential and non-residential tariffs, which was introduced in April.
