IOCs are continuing to invest in Papua New Guinea (PNG) despite ongoing negotiations with the government over the terms for the assets they already operate there. And assuming no radical changes are made to the fiscal regime, an FID on the expansion of the PNG LNG project may be made in 2019 as planned.
