Russian major Gazprom has reduced the volume of gas transited through Ukraine and Belarus by 14% from the start of the week, Interfax has reported, quoting data from European gas transmission operators.
Transit through Ukraine on the Uzhgorod corridor amounted to 127 million cubic metres (MMcm) on Tuesday, down from 147 MMcm on Monday.
This was despite no maintenance work being performed along the route. Maintenance on the corridor is scheduled to begin on 14 August, Interfax said.
