Northeast India to join national gas grid within three years

India’s northeastern states are set to be connected to the national gas grid within the next three years.

India’s northeastern states are set to be connected to the national gas grid within the next three years, according to Indian newspaper The Economic Times.

A joint venture of Oil India Ltd, Numaligarh Refinery, Indian Oil Corp., and Gail will build the pipeline.

Work has already started on a pipeline connecting Barauni to Guwahati.
