The Indonesian government has finished drafting a new gas balance that will map supply and demand in six regions across the country, The Jakarta Post reported on Wednesday.

The balance will improve the data required to predict supply and demand, according to Djoko Siswanto, director general for oil and gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

“We hope that the regions experiencing a deficit can be supplied by regions experiencing a surplus,” said Djoko.
