Trading house Marubeni and shipbuilding firm Mitsui OSK Lines are among the Japanese companies considering participating in Novatek’s proposed LNG transshipment facility on the Kamchatka Peninsula, the Nikkei Asian Review reported on Tuesday.
Marubeni is conducting feasibility studies on the project, and the Japanese government may support it through financial institutions such as the Japan Bank for International Cooperation and Nippon Export & Investment Insurance.
