The United States Department of Energy (DOE) has finalised new rules that will speed up approval of applications to export small volumes of gas, including LNG, the DOE said on Wednesday.
The so-called ‘small-scale rule’ is aimed at emerging markets in the Caribbean and Central and South America, where LNG from US export plants can be shipped or barged short distances inside tank containers.
