Indian renewable power capacity passes 71 GW

India’s installed renewable energy capacity reached 71.3 GW at the beginning of June, according to the government Press Information Bureau.

The government aims to install a total of 175 GW of renewable energy capacity in India by 2022, made up of 100 GW of solar, 60 GW of wind, 10 GW of biomass and 5 GW of small hydro capacity.
