Thailand’s PTT Exploration & Production (PTTEP) plans to expand its presence in Myanmar in advance of the country’s next oil and gas licensing round, which is due to open by the end of the year, according to the Nikkei Asian Review.

Producing oil and gas in Myanmar is anticipated to help Thailand’s energy security, as much of it can be exported across the border.
