Woodside Petroleum has decided not to invest in the Port Arthur LNG export project on the Gulf Coast of the United States, Reuters reported project partner Sempra Energy as saying on Friday.

“Woodside has been evaluating whether to invest equity in the project, but has recently decided not to pursue that investment further as it wishes to focus on integrated E&P, rather than US Gulf Coast LNG infrastructure investments like Port Arthur LNG,” California-based Sempra told the newswire.
