Shale explorers in Australia’s Northern Territory (NT) are pushing the local government to fast-track a host of new fracking regulations to enable exploration and production to resume in 2019’s dry season. 

Not doing so, the industry says, would risk another year of missing the opportunity to increase gas supplies to LNG export plants and eastern Australia’s domestic market
