Ghana’s Public Interest Accountability Committee has stated that a legal dispute is looming with Togo regarding exploration in the ultra-deepwater East Keta Block, Agence Ecofin has reported.
The body claims the Ghanaian government’s approval for exploration by Blue Star Exploration – a joint venture between Ghana National Petroleum Co. and Jersey-based Heritage E&P – has been contested by Togo’s authorities, which say the territory belongs to them.
