Novatek’s Yamal LNG plant has been producing above capacity, having shipped 21 cargoes in its first five months of operation compared with an expected 14, according to Oilprice.com.
The facility is on course to exceed the 75 cargoes it planned to ship for this year.
China has received one Yamal cargo, which was transshipped in Europe and travelled via the Suez Canal. The journey took approximately 40 days and cost $91.5 per ton of LNG.
