Kogas raises gas prices to boost funds

South Korea’s Kogas increased the price of its gas by 4.2% at the beginning of July as a result of higher LNG prices and the weakness of the South Korean won versus the dollar, according to Yonhap News.

The tariff rise will increase Kogas’s operational funds by KRW 250-350 billion ($222-311 billion) over the next 12-18 months, the news agency reported.
