Trinidad & Tobago’s energy minister, Franklin Khan, has told the country’s Newsday newspaper that no facilities have been identified for closure in the country’s Point Lisas industrial estate, which has suffered from gas supply outages in recent years.
He said Trinidad’s gas production will increase to an average of 108 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) in 2018, up from 94 MMcm/d in 2017.
Output will continue to rise to 113 MMcm/d in 2019 and 116 MMcm/d in 2020, he added.
