Israel has refused to agree a final maritime border with Lebanon, according to Lebanese President Michel Aoun.

Israel has refused to agree a final maritime border with Lebanon, according to Lebanese President Michel Aoun.

The two countries were seeking a solution to their long-running dispute, and were using the United States as an intermediary.

Lebanon had awarded a contract to explore Block 9, which includes part of the disputed maritime area, to a group of companies including Novatek.

Novatek’s chief executive has said they do not intend to explore the disputed area
