Russia’s Sakhalin LNG export project loaded its 1,500th cargo on Wednesday, according to LNG World News.

The cargo will be delivered to Japan on board the Energy Navigator. The Sakhalin plant has a nameplate capacity of 9.6 mtpa but has operated beyond this in recent years.

The majority of the plant’s cargoes are delivered to Japan, although Sakhalin also ships LNG to South Korea, China, India, Taiwan, Kuwait and Thailand.
