Australian Industrial Energy’s (AIE’s) proposed LNG terminal at Port Kembla on the east coast of Australia has been designated as “critical state significant infrastructure” by the government of New South Wales (NSW), the state’s planning minister, Anthony Roberts, said on Sunday.

The designation will expedite the regulatory process for the terminal by 6-8 months.
