Gas infrastructure faces a growing threat from cyberattacks, and operators must act now to prevent potentially critical damage to their assets, industry-watchers have said.

Electricity supplies are so far the only area of the energy industry to have been disrupted by cyberattacks, but gas supplies will probably be next, Kristan Stoddart, a lecturer in cyber security at the Department of International Politics at Aberystwyth University, told Interfax Natural Gas Daily.
