Tepco is planning to decommission all four reactors at the Fukushima Daini nuclear power plant, leaving Fukushima a nuclear-free prefecture, according to the Japan Atomic Industrial Forum.

Tepco had the largest nuclear capacity of any of Japan’s 10 regional power companies before the Fukushima disaster but has been unable to restart any of its reactors since.

The company’s Kashiwazaki-Kariwa facility in Niigata prefecture is its one remaining nuclear power plant and is also the country’s largest, with seven reactors.
