Australia’s Strike Energy has estimated that its West Erregulla prospect in Western Australia’s Perth Basin could hold up to 35.1 billion cubic metres of conventional gas, according to a company presentation released on Wednesday.

Detailed technical work and analysis has identified a “material standalone conventional gas prospect” in the deeper Kingia/High Cliff sandstones, which also contain the Waitsia field – Australia’s biggest onshore gas discovery in 40 years.
