Congo-Brazzaville is set to launch a second bidding round in September, Agence Ecofin has reported.

Eighteen oil and gas exploration blocks will be on offer, of which five are shallow offshore, five deepwater and eight onshore, according to a statement by Jean-Marc Thystère Tchicaya, the country’s hydrocarbons minister.

Details of the blocks will be revealed during Africa Oil Week, which will take place in Brazzaville city from 5-9 November.
