ADB to advise on Philippine LNG terminal plans

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will conduct a study looking at the viability of the Philippines’ proposed LNG terminal, The Manila Times reported on Monday.

The Manila-based regional lender will “conduct a proper demand analysis to determine the demand for natural gas”, said Yongping Zhai, head of the bank’s Energy Sector Group.

“Based on that [analysis], you can then consider the global LNG supply situation,” he added, saying the study would consider pricing and the proposed contract.
