TANAP inauguration ceremony to be held in Turkey

The Turkish city of Eskişehir will host the inauguration ceremony for the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline on Tuesday.

The Turkish city of Eskişehir will host the inauguration ceremony for the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) on Tuesday.

The event will be attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili.

The 16 billion cubic metre per year pipeline runs from Turkey’s border with Georgia to its frontier with Greece.

TANAP will transport gas produced from Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz field into Turkey, from where some of it will go on to Greece and Italy once the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline...
